Dream Night Prom

The challenge for a child diagnosed with cancer is multifaceted, but for a teen the experience is far more personal, affecting many of the expected norms of teen years. Treatments frequently induce hair loss, weight changes and other physical challenges. Months of hospitalizations disrupt the usual social activities, and important milestones are often missed.
Dream Night Prom was created in 2006 by Carina Groves as her high school senior project when a friend told her she wasn't planning to attend her prom because of the physical impacts from her condition and treatment.
